Sorry for the poor lay out. Blogger is giving me a hard time with pages full of code. I hope they sort this out soon, so far I haven't had any response to my questions. Anyway, we are back from cycling to Berlin. Cheated a bit in the Harz: as the hills were a bit too steep for us we took the train! Now it is back to reading for the blog. I bet your cycling legs are glad to be home! It sounds an amazing holiday. Now you have lots of books to search out. I can say snap to quite a few of the books on that top shelf - either read or own now. Lovely that people have recommended LOTS of other books for you to search for as well :)
ReplyDeleteWe were so lucky to have three weeks of sunshine, it only rained at night. Germany is a great country to cycle with lots of quiet roads and cycle paths. Being home again is always nice too, with all the normal things (like visiting the market)feeling special.
DeleteKatherine Stewart has written several books, all worth reading; my favourite is her "A Garden in the Hills" - the sequel to the crofting book.
